Denise L. Kolivoski, holds an MBA from Gannon University in Erie, PA and a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from her alma mater.

Denise served as the Executive Director at the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Erie County. Recognizing the hurdles faced by families impacted by mental health issues, she rejuvenated NAMI, executing strategic plans backed by stakeholders and expanding educational programs like Peer-to-Peer and Family-to-Family initiatives.

Her leadership garnered numerous awards for NAMI, including the esteemed title of “Nonprofit of the Year” by The Erie Times-News and GoErie.com in 2019. Prior to her tenure at NAMI, Kolivoski contributed to Community Shelter Services and United Way of Erie County, receiving recognition for her marketing endeavors. With a decade-long tenure in media at WICU 12, an NBC affiliate, she brings extensive experience in news management and creative marketing campaigns. Additionally, she shares her expertise by instructing nonprofit management classes at Gannon University for graduate students.
