National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) Celebrates its 80th Anniversary

Kickoff Annual Meeting to Mark a Legacy of Advocacy and Look Toward the Future

Washington, DC — October 2024, The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) proudly announces its 80th anniversary, a monumental milestone in its rich history of advocacy, support, and education in the field of substance use and recovery. As part of the celebrations, NCADD invites the public to join its Annual Meeting on Friday, October 25th, 2024, where attendees will reflect on the organization’s legacy and discover exciting new initiatives aimed at addressing current challenges in substance use and recovery.

Founded in 1944 by Mrs. Marty Mann, NCADD has been a pioneer in raising awareness about alcoholism and drug dependence. Mrs. Mann’s leadership and vision helped shape the national conversation around substance use, breaking down the stigma and promoting recovery as a lifelong journey. We are excited to host our annual meeting virtually, providing an accessible and engaging platform for all. Participants will hear updates on NCADD’s progress over the last year and future plans to continue the fight against substance use. Attendees can participate in meaningful conversations about the evolving landscape of recovery, hear from leaders in the field, and be part of shaping the organization’s strategic vision for the years ahead.

The NCADD Annual Meeting will take place virtually on Friday, October 25th, 2024.
